about the artist
Mica Low is a 2014 graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she earned a BA in illustration with a minor in scientific illustration. As a watercolorist and digital artist with a background in both narrative art and natural science, her work has a broad range of focus, but always features naturalistic detail and lively biomorphism.
She has a deep interest in history, ecology, art history, and visitor-centered design. In addition to freelance illustration, she is pursuing a career in museum exhibit design.
She currently lives in Seattle with twenty-four houseplants and one dog, and is finishing a Master's of Museology at the University of Washington.
