about the artist
Mica Low is a 2014 graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she earned a BA in illustration with a focus in scientific illustration. As watercolorist and digital artist with a strong background in both narrative art and natural science, her work has a broad range of focus, but always features biomorphic design and attention to naturalistic detail.
She has a deep interest in history, art history, ecology, and education. In addition to freelance illustration, she is pursuing a career in the museum field.
She currently lives in Seattle with twenty-four houseplants and one dog, and is working on an MA in Museology at the University of Washington.
